A Great Name
In 1994, the College of Business Administration became the 21st named business school, joining the ranks of some of the most prestigious schools in the nation. The Foster College was named to honor a generous gift given by Thomas and Ellen Foster, both of whom were Bradley graduates.
Academic Excellence
Of the nation’s 3623 colleges and universities, the Foster College of Business Administration is one of only 169 schools whose graduate and undergraduate programs are all accredited by AACSB International: The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Bradley University consistently ranks among the top Midwestern comprehensive universities according to the editors of U.S. News & World Reports guide, America's Best Colleges. U.S. News also ranks Bradley third among the "Great Schools at Great Prices." Bradley University was included in the best 351 colleges in 2004 The Princeton Review. and was included in the "Top Colleges for Top Students" in Peterson's Competitive Colleges Bradley was ranked the 24th most entrepreneurial in the nation by Forbes.com and Peterson's Review.
A Student Focus
The Bradley experience includes a residential campus, faculty and student collaboration, faculty serving as academic advisors, and all courses taught by professors. Graduate students do not teach classes in the Foster College of Business. Business students have a choice of a broad array of academic programs, including ten different majors, over 7 minors, and three different graduate programs. Professors provide the information students need to make the most of their options. Nearly 100% of our graduates are placed in jobs or graduate schools within a short time of graduation.
A Global Focus
International opportunities for students abound. The college was one of the first in the nation to offer an undergraduate major in international business. Students can study abroad at locations throughout the world. Recently, Students have studied in China, Mexico, Finland, England, and the Czech Republic. Over the decade, Foster College of Business faculty have been pioneers in helping Russian businesses transform to a market economy. The college was instrumental in establishing the International Market Institute, a business school patterned after the Foster College, in Samara Russia. The International Scholar Program is designed for students interested in how cultural influences business. This specific program includes two international travel experiences
A Practical Focus
Students are exposed to real-world experience through internships and courses that combine a theoretical and practical perspective. Since 1972, every senior business student has received practical experience by completing a consulting project for business or not-for-profit organizations. Many students graduate with several of these experiences. Students gain practical leadership skills through a variety of in-class and out-of-class activities. All students take a weekend course in Team Dynamics that is taught by the staff of the Leadership Development Center, the preeminent leadership development organization in the world. Students gain real-world experience by working on projects sponsored by the college’s Center for Business and Economic Research, The Center for Economic Education, and The Turner Center for Entrepreneurship.

A Modern Facility and Technological Resources
Students study in Baker Hall, home to the Foster College since 1991. The facility contains an Executive Classroom and classrooms designed to facilitate class discussion, case-methods instruction, and collaborative learning. Multimedia classrooms and computer lab/classrooms are fully networked and have state-of-the-art projection capabilities. The Multimedia Presentation Lab allows students to prepare state-of-the-art presentations, digitize images and sound, and design commercial artwork and create animated effects.
Service to the Business Community
The Foster College provides the business community a variety of resources – including management talent, graduate and executive programs, and cutting-edge business information. Established in 2001, The Executive MBA in Leadership provides executives and high potential managers with an interdisciplinary, issues-oriented approach to business education with a focus on leadership development The evening MBA for mid-career professionals is designed to be practical and relevant for today’s managers. Classes meet evenings to accommodate students’ full-time careers. The Department of Accounting offers a graduate program leading to the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) degree. The MSA is designed for individuals who have already earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or the equivalent) and wish to further their education.
