National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC)
Kennesaw Sate University - Atlanta GA
This is a national selling competition for undergraduate and MBA-level college students interested in pursuing careers in professional selling. The competition will be similar to the role plays students conduct in their sales classes, with the added fun of competing against other universities. Each year contestants from over 50 universities participate in the contest. Bradley will take two contestants and up to two alternates to each year’s competition. In order to be considered for the NCSC, students must have completed Mtg. 304, participate in the Bradley University Sales Contest – Sponsored by Northwestern Mutual, and be enrolled full-time during the Spring semester. The top two students from the BU Sales Contest will be invited to represent Bradley at the NCSC and if sufficient funds are available additional students will be invited to attend the NCSC as alternates. Contestants and alternates must be available and willing to regularly practice and prepare during the spring semester. Each contestant’s travel and hotel expenses will be covered by the event’s sponsors, who will also award trophies and cash prizes to the winners. Each alternate’s travel and hotel expenses will be covered by the BU Corporate Partners. All contestants and alternates will be able to participate in several social events as well as the Job Fair. At previous Job Fairs, students interviewed with and received job offers from firms such as Liberty Mutual, Standard Register, Supplemental Health Care, ADP, Cisco Systems, Edward Jones, Elk Building Products, Frito-Lay, GlaxoSmithKline, Hewlett-Packard, Hilti, Novartis, Sealy, Yamaha, among others. While there is no guarantee of getting a job by attending the NCSC, students can anticipate a very fast paced and enjoyable weekend. If you are interested in participating in the BU Sales Contest and the NCSC then please discuss it with Dr. Johlke or Dr. Garrett.
